Phoenix Group Android Production Line System – Bespoke Manufacturing Workflow Platform

Phoenix Group was founded in 2007 and quickly became the UK’s largest producer of cold-pressed seed oils, achieving this status by 2010. Operating from a state-of-the-art 40,000 sq ft facility equipped with two high-volume bottling systems, four cold presses and four industrial filtration units, Phoenix Group leads the sector in large-scale oil production for both retail and wholesale customers.

As production expanded, Phoenix required a modern, digital workflow platform to help operatives manage the various stages of their production line. They needed a reliable solution that could standardise processes, improve quality assurance and collect real-time data, photos and electronic signatures directly from the factory floor.

Bespoke Android App for Production Line Management

New Media Aid designed a custom Android application for use on tablets positioned along the production line. The app guides operatives through step-by-step workflows and presents dynamic questions tailored to each stage of the manufacturing process. These questions can be updated centrally at any time, ensuring complete operational flexibility as the business evolves.

The Android app captures structured data, photographs and digital signatures, providing a complete audit trail for internal quality checks as well as customer-facing compliance reporting. This ensures factory operations remain traceable, consistent and fully aligned with industry standards across the region.

Secure Web Management System and Customer Portal

To support the Android app, we developed a secure web-based management system where Phoenix staff can configure production workflows, update question sets, and review incoming data in real time. The platform also includes a comprehensive reporting dashboard for supervisors to analyse performance, evaluate trends and perform quality control checks.

In addition, a dedicated customer portal allows Phoenix Group’s clients to log in and view their production reports securely, offering full transparency and strengthening business relationships. Customers across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and the wider UK benefit from timely, accurate documentation for their own compliance and supply chain requirements.
