Weblight Survey & Reporting System – Bespoke Android App and Web Management Platform

Weblight provides specialist lighting design, installation and maintenance services to the Retail, Healthcare, Commercial, Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics and Education sectors. They work extensively with major Facilities Management companies and serve well-known brands such as Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Barclays, Iceland, BHS, TK Maxx, Mothercare, New Look, as well as hospitals and commercial buildings throughout the UK.

With surveyors and engineers operating nationwide, Weblight required a digital solution that would allow them to efficiently capture lighting survey data, including photographs, notes and customer signatures, directly from sites across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and the wider UK.

Bespoke Android App for Technicians & Surveyors

New Media Aid developed a custom Android application designed for use by surveyors, lighting engineers and maintenance teams. The app allows users to:

• Select the site they are surveying
• Answer bespoke survey questions defined by the Weblight admin team
• Capture multiple photos per survey section
• Record notes and observations
• Collect customer signatures on completion

The app works on both Android phones and tablets, making it ideal for engineers travelling between retail stores, large warehouses, hospitals and commercial facilities.

Integrated Web-Based Management Platform

Alongside the Android app, we built a secure web management system where Weblight staff can:
